Norcat’s Entrepreneurship Lecture

Walter Siggelkow, the founder of Hard-Line told the Hard-Line story to the Entrepreneurship 101 program at Norcat. Attendees gained valuable insight for their own business.

About Walter Siggelkow

Walter Siggelkow has over 30 years’ experience in mining and is the president of Hard-Line. Walter is a highly respected, smart, and motivating individual who is devoted to improving mine safety. Through his great passion for safety, he turned a start-up into a 70+ person multinational operation. Walter began his career as an underground heavy equipment mechanic. A serious back injury occurred and he could no longer work underground. This gave him the chance to indulge his interest in electronics and he enrolled in electronics engineering at Cambrian College. For a couple years, he took on the important role of General Manager at an electrical systems company. He then decided to direct his effort and first-hand knowledge into a company of his own.

In addition to an Electronics Engineering diploma, Walter has a certificate of qualification for Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, and Truck & Coach Technician.

About Norcat’s Entrepreneurship 101 Program

Entrepreneurship 101 is a course for people interested in starting their own business. A total of 29 weekly lectures are delivered by experienced entrepreneurs.
